Work work work and where is my life??

The long work hours are leaving me in a very ruined physical and mental state. I love what I am doing and also learning a lot everyday, but at the end of the day enthusiasm fades under the shadow of exhaustion. Things become blur and I forget the primary reason for pushing myself and start asking the questions,”is it worth it?”.
Why am i doing this!!
What am i doing!!

Lately I realized that the extra time doesn’t add up as productive and at the end of the day my overall output doesn’t increase and the only thing that changes is my efficiency leaving me feeling less productive and adding to the psychological strain on my little brain.

On top of that i spend less time with my pals adding insult to the injury and leaving me craving for some more of those relaxing chats with good ol guys.

I should do something about it before i get lost in the world of complains just like my last job. So, I have decided to talk to my boss and try to get some flex solution.

I don’t really mind working long hours at this stage of my life provided I have some extra control as to how i spend them. I will be more useful and productive in 5-6 shorter spans compared to marathon 2 pre and post lunch session. It’s just not the way humans are meant to do things. If I keep sitting like this on that chair for some more years then soon i will need a back surgery :((

I don’t know how to pitch this matter being only one month in the company and as such the idea is completely rebellious to general office system.

Any thoughts guys???

What’s worth fighting for??

What’s worth fighting for???

A question. A statement. Some ask it every moment. Some never do. What is that you are fighting for at this moment?

A career?
A family?
A soulmate?
Pride?
Money?

What is that you really want so badly that you will fight for it. Is there something you are into for which you can stake out everything.

List down these in the priority order they are, not the way you think they are, but truly what they are!!

Parents, soulmate, career, money, pride..

Be true to yourself. And it will reveal a lot. May be you will figure out what is really worth fighting for.

My true order is not really what I perceive it to be… But I know what has to go down and what above.

Good luck my friend and wish me luck too.

Internet freedom

From what’s going on in china it’s clearly reflected that tyrannic censorship of Internet by government is neither a good option, nor a viable solution. Internet or the world wide web as it is popularly referred to was introduced by CERN as a means of communication in late eighties and from then it have revolutionized the way we live our lives. Internet is a transparent platform which encourages everyone to express their views, ideas or creations in the form of text, pictures or videos and makes it easily and mostly freely available to the audience all around the world. The content can be educational, beneficial or at times objectionable to a certain audience, which is true even for other popular means like newspapers, magazines, television etc. The kind of information any person consumes is dictated more by his demand and less by what’s available and he will get it by hook or crook. Content creators will just create whatever is consumed. The way to keep the risky and harmful content away is by making people aware and understand their responsibility. As humans we are extremely influenced by the people around us and are, by nature, very open to any kind of advise. Family, friends and peer groups and the ones we listen to and follow and they are the ones both capable and responsible of guiding us to make the right choices.

Enjoy your coffee..

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite – telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: ‘If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.. While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other’s cups.

Now if life is coffee, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, but the quality of Life doesn’t change. Some times, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee in it.’

Don’t let the cups drive you.. Enjoy the coffee instead

I keep posting this kind of stuff to keep reminding myself.

Beware of spammers

Just a few days ago I read an article on how the spammers make truckloads of money out of you. Here is a striking example.

I received this Direct Message on Twitter today –  get, get your iq score here… http://iquiz4348.info

out of curiosity I clicked and answered 10 dumb questions. All good till here. Looked like some regular websit trying to get promotion on facebook. But here's the spoiler.

My phone no. No one asks for that. they ask for e-mail address mostly which also you should never provide, unless you are fine with getting your inbox bombarded with mails trying to change your anatomy in various ways 😛

So, I read the conditions, which i knew these websites are supposed to put. Now they are written with grey on a dark grey background so that you don't notice them unless you really want to.

Be careful guys. Donate $10 to someone who really needs it. If you need your IQ score ask your teacher or wanna check your relationships status then meet your girlfriend 🙂
