Om shanti Om…..

Deepika padukone

I generally don’t like watching movies twice. But I did!!! I watched OSO twice in less than 18 hours(just 12hr gap between 2 shows!!).Partly due to the lovely dashing Deepika, and rest to make some sense out of the movie.

It was over hyped to be an awesome movie in tabloids, news , everywhere. All mostly due to stunning publicity, and the phenomenal Farah and Larger than life King Khan.It was certainly different and new. But way below expectations. The sets were well designed, plot was good, costumes were breath stealing and Deepika no less than a Goddess, shreyas was always a good actor. Then what went wrong?

Only one thing, Shahrukh! He really disappointed with his performance.Except the speech, there were hardly any sensible or well performed shots. The ‘darde disco’ was TNR(Totally Not Required), and neither was the Superhero shit. Our man was overacting a lot at times. 32 stars in one song , don’t know what she wanted to prove by that.Hats off to the souls who can love his acting in this movie.

On the other hand Deepika was fantastic. She filled the screen pretty nicely and there was no hesitation generally found in the newcomers. Dialogue delivery was perfect. She carried the character well, and one don’t need to be a choreographer to mark that she is a phenomenal dancer. It generally happens that shahrukh takes away all the credit for the success of the movie and the actress remains in the shadows. This time it was exactly the opposite.Deepika was totally in to the charcter and gave life to it, while shahrukh was like a monkey on the sets.

Farah could have done more justice to this script.
